Tip

Show your real German level

State the level (for example, C1 or C2) and how you got there. All four roles ask for native or C1 German.

In these roles German is not a bonus: all four postings list it as required, at native or C1 level. So be precise about your real level.

State the level on the European scale (for example, C1 or C2), how you reached it (course, Erasmus, years living in Germany, previous job) and how long you have used it professionally.

Checklist

  • Write the level next to the language, for example: German C1 (Goethe-Zertifikat, 2024).
  • Separate spoken from written level if they differ.
  • Get back into practice: podcasts, calls or lessons in the weeks before you apply.
  • Practise talking about your background in German, out loud, to build confidence.
