Several Volkswagen Group companies operate in Portugal, each recruiting independently: find out what each company does and where to apply.
One brand, several companies
The name “Volkswagen” refers at once to a car brand, to the Group that brings several brands together and to several companies whose names begin with that word. In addition, two of these companies are in the same municipality: the Volkswagen Autoeuropa plant and Volkswagen Group Services both have an address in Palmela, so a job with “Palmela” in the title is not necessarily a job at the plant. Anyone searching for “Volkswagen jobs” or “Volkswagen recruitment” should therefore identify the company they are interested in before submitting an application.
Volkswagen Group Services
It is the Volkswagen Group’s services company. In its own words, it works exclusively for the Group’s companies and brands, providing specialised services in a range of areas. In Portugal, it operates in IT & Digital, Engineering and Quality, Logistics and Production, and Customer Support.
It was founded in April 2001 in Wolfsburg under the name AutoVision and adopted the name Volkswagen Group Services in 2018. In the Iberian Peninsula, it is present in Portugal (Palmela and Lisbon) and Spain (Navarra, Valencia and Barcelona).
The Contact Center whose roles are published on this site belongs to Volkswagen Group Services. Launched in Portugal in 2021, it supports Volkswagen Group customers in several European markets, with a team working remotely. The roles currently open are in the Roadside Assistance project, at Junior, Middle and Senior level: telephone roadside assistance for German-speaking customers of the Group’s brands whose vehicles have broken down. The work is 100% remote, from anywhere in Portugal, and the employment contract is with Volkswagen Group Services Portugal, in Palmela. The job ads require native or C1 German, fluent English and availability for shift work.
The Contact Center’s second project, Automotive Service, currently has no open roles.

- SIVA|PHS: importer and distributor in Portugal of Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, Škoda, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Bentley and Lamborghini, among others; part of Porsche Holding Salzburg since 2019. Recruitment: “Trabalhar na SIVA|PHS” (Working at SIVA|PHS) page on the SIVA website, which includes trainee programmes.
- Volkswagen Financial Services: financing, insurance, leasing and fleet management, through Volkswagen Bank GmbH – Sucursal em Portugal (the Portuguese branch) and Volkswagen Renting Unipessoal, Lda. Recruitment: Human Resources page on its website, which links to vacancies on the Group portal and to a recruitment email address.
- Scania Portugal: trucks, city buses and coaches, power generation solutions, repair and maintenance. Recruitment: “Vagas disponíveis” (Available positions) page on the Portuguese website, accepting registrations from mechanics and parts staff.
Scania belongs to TRATON SE, which brings together the Volkswagen Group’s commercial vehicle brands: Scania, MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus and International.
SEAT, CUPRA and Audi in Portugal
In Portugal, these brands are imported and distributed by SIVA|PHS, which is included in the list above. No separate company for each of these brands recruiting in Portugal was identified. For roles at dealerships or authorised brand workshops, the employer is the company named in the job ad, regardless of the brand displayed on the premises.

Customer support in German, working remotely: this is the area covered by the roles published on this site. The open roles are on the job opportunities page; applications are submitted on the Volkswagen Group careers portal, via the button on each role.
Production, maintenance or engineering at a plant: Volkswagen Autoeuropa. Its careers page refers to production, logistics, quality, industrial engineering, human resources, finance and IT, as well as an internship programme for recent graduates.
Sales and distribution of the brands in Portugal: SIVA|PHS.
Credit, leasing or insurance: Volkswagen Financial Services.
Heavy-vehicle mechanics or parts: Scania Portugal is accepting applications in these areas.

The jobs.volkswagen-group.com portal brings together vacancies from several brands and companies of the Group, and each company recruits and selects its own candidates. With a candidate profile, you can apply directly or save your details for a later application.
Applications for the roles on this site are also submitted on the portal. When you select “Apply” on a Roadside Assistance role, you leave this site and continue on the portal, which has its own privacy policy.
This site and the employee portal
Some visitors reach this site by searching for “portal do colaborador vw”, the employee portal. The employee portal is the internal area for people who already work at a Group company, and access is granted by the company itself.
This is the careers site of Volkswagen Group Services Portugal, open to the public, and it has no employee area. If you already work in the Group and are looking for the internal portal, your company’s human resources department can give you the correct address.

Are Volkswagen Group Services and Autoeuropa the same company?
No. They are separate companies in the same Group, both with an address in Palmela. Autoeuropa is a car plant; Volkswagen Group Services is the Group’s services company.
